The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued an emergency ban on the pesticide DCPA, commonly known as Dacthal, due to concerns about its potential health risks for fetuses. This marks the first time in about 40 years that the EPA has utilized its emergency authority to halt the sale of a pesticide. The ban comes as a response to the irreversible damage Dacthal can cause to the development of unborn babies, emphasizing the significance of protecting fetal health from harmful agrochemicals.
